National Trust Learning Programme
Delivery and development of Living History Programme: 'Pack Up Your Troubles'
Kenera Consultant, delivered and developed the learning programme 'Pack up Your Troubles.' It was aimed at pupils interested in learning about World War II and via living history placed pupils into the world of evacuees and Castle Ward in war time. Practical activities delivered by characters including the landgirl, air-raid warden, cook, housekeeper and nursery maid brought this National Trust property to life for a young audience.

Pack Up Your Troubles
A special sense of time and place is captured by the setting. Castle Ward, as an example of a historic family home with the excellent experiences it provides for learning, continues to enrich understanding and empathy with vibrancy and authenticity.
The capability and enthusiasm of all the Education Team, together with the carefully conceived educational programmes are highly effective in developing an understanding of why the House is like it is today and what life was like in it at key times in its history.
